As we cruise right along through summer, I thought it would be nice to update this blog with some pictures and video from various weddings that I’ve DJed in the last couple of months.

On June 2nd, I DJed a great reception at the Blue Mound Banquet and Meeting Center in Luverne, MN. I brought the camcorder along and recorded a little video:

Later that month, I DJed a reception at CJ Callaways, complete with some accent uplighting:

On July 9th, I was on the 3rd floor of the Washington Pavillion. A special thank you to Allison for giving me a “haunted tour” after the reception was over!

Later in the month, I was at All Occasions in Tea, SD. I used 6 uplights to accent the head table and it did wonders for the huge room.

Next up was the Riverfront Events Center in Yankton, SD for another great wedding:

And finally, this past weekend, I DJed a very well done reception at the Excel Achievement Center in Sioux Falls. The bride actually works at the center and had her reception in the foyer. Everything turned out great!

Although the last wedding I DJed was in November (video below), I’ve still managed to remain busy DJing over these bitterly cold Winter months.

In December, I visited my good friends at Vermillion High School and DJed their Winter Formal for the 6th straight year, and in January, I made the trip down to Yankton to DJ the Winter Formal at Mount Marty College.

And in February I DJed the Winter Formal at one of my favorite high schools, West Central in Hartford.

I’ve also been doing a lot of DJing at some local nightspots like the 18th Amendent, the Liebrary, and Woody’s. I actually have my very own “Throwback Night” at Woody’s every Friday night where I play only pre-2000 music (mostly 90s). I’ve created an event calendar for this blog and posted it on the right side of the page if you’re every interested in coming out and saying hi.

Here’s a quick video of the setup I used at a recent wedding reception. I actually had an 18″ subwoofer hiding under the table as well as another one hiding behind the curtain.

I kinda liked this setup. It was clean, classy, and sounded great!
