I started performing as a disc jockey
in 1995, I have done just about every
type of event that you can imagine.
But if there is one event that I have
done more than any other, it's weddings.
It takes an experienced entertainer
to successfully "pull off"
a wedding reception. Not only is a professional
sound and light system important, but
a great personality is as well. Over
the years, I have learned how to interact
with a wide variety of guests, and I've
loved every minute of it! I am one of
those DJ's that loves turning an ordinary
event into a successful party that your
guests will be talking about for years
to come.
Many people underestimate the importance
of quality entertainment at a wedding
reception. In fact, a recent survey
has shown that the entertainment chosen
for a wedding is responsible for 80%
of the event's success. Also, 81%
of wedding guests say that the thing
they remember most about a wedding
is the entertainment. So what does
this mean? It means that even though
the entertainment is often at the
bottom of you wedding to-do list,
you should still take your time when
selecting your DJ. Ask questions and
do your research, and remember, the
cheapest isn't always the best.
Planning is a very important part
of a wedding DJ's job. In order for
the event to run smoothly, everyone
must be on the same page. Over the
past two years, I have been using
an online planning service to organize
the details of weddings and other
events. These features are free to
my client's and will save you a lot
of time and effort. After reserving
your wedding date, I will email you
a password to access your personalized
planning page. You can save as you
go, and I automatically get notified
of any updates. It's a wonderful system.
But, if you prefer the "old fashioned"
way, I also include a paper copy of
the wedding planner when I send out
the contract.
